Assistant Engineer

Assistant Engineer - Residential Development (Central Region)\n\nAn opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Engineer to join a growing residential developer delivering high-quality housing schemes across the UK.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport the Head of Engineering and wider teams across multiple live developments\n\nCommission and review site surveys and technical reports (ecology, archaeology, acoustics, etc.)\n\nAssist with design reviews for roads, drainage, sewers and levels in line with NHBC/LABC standards\n\nSupport pre-construction activities including budgets, risk and site engineering inputs\n\nAssist with Section 38, 278 and 104 agreements, approvals and adoptions\n\nAttend design, pre-start and site meetings and carry out site visits\n\nMonitor on-site works against drawings, specifications and safety standards\n\nCoordinate utilities and support programme delivery\n\nAssist with value engineering and handover of completed works\n\nSkills & Experience\n\nQualification in civil engineering, construction or related discipline\n\nUnderstanding of residential development and basic engineering principles\n\nAwareness of S38, S278 and S104 processes (desirable)\n\nStrong organisation and time management skills\n\nGood IT skills (Microsoft Office; AutoCAD desirable)\n\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving ability\n\nAbility to interpret drawings and technical information\n\nGood communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and external consultants\n\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site
